my declining years & forgets
all my faults and I trust
and pray that we may be permitted
to get dwell together for ever in
that fair & happy world, where
the inhabitants will no more
no more know sin & sorrow -
and may we also in that great
day be enabled to say, here
Lord are we and the Children
thou hast given us; may we find all
our names written in the
Lambs book of life- but I
feel that merely wishing will
[MS 2023]
never bring us to that bright
world, it must be something
more, even though the [imputed?]
righteousness of our blessed
Redeemer - Poor Josiah Betts'
death was a melancholy one
indeed, and what makes it
more sad, it cannot be decided
whether it was, or was not
done intentionally; he will be
no loss to your Aunty she
will get on better without
him but the suddeness of
her husband's death must
be a great shock to her.
