I am glad to divert myself
otherwise than by listening.
In the Assembly today they
will have the great subject
of payment of members [?]
on the report of resolutions from
Committee that a Bill be brought in
for the purpose :– which Bill
the advocates of payment would
rather [indecipherable], and if possible
place a vote in the approp'n Bill.
Trusting that you are well
and being glad that maugre Haines
imputations against me you do not
hold me as unfit for communication
(though I think Haines is not if I am) and
with my best remembrances
