Wednesday Jany. 29th –
I have been at Sydney to facilitate your
Brother's operations – Oxley and he have had another
conference – the address was shewn to him – at
first he made some difficulties, "he would never
sign another address" – at last, "he would sign it
after the departure of Mr. Field", – "very well" – "Tell
"your Father I have considered every thing – I wish
"to live on terms with him – Nothing shall be done
"in the Petition without my informing him – in
"point of fact, I do not think any thing will be
"done, unless I move it. There is jealousy enough,
"but there is so much discourse, over which one will take
"the lead – I think your father may make himself
"easy"–. We then called upon Mr Walker, Riley's
Partner and introduced the subject of the address
