no reduction or alteration whatsoever
can be made with respect to my said
salary of (£30) Thirty Pounds Sterg
per annum; neither shall I allow
my said salary, or any part thereof,
to be alienated from my control;
or transferred to another to augment
his or her salary.

I consider myself justly entitled
to wood & water, as much as any
shepherd on this Establishment
and, I am ready to claim my rights,
