The foregoing you will perceive, my dearest John

supposed to be going immediately to sea - but from
some appearances, there was cause to [apprehend?]

[indecipherable] & her whole cargo reexamined which has
caused her detention until now. Mr [indecipherable] the
owner called yesterday & said she [would?] [indecipherable]
sail the day after tomorrow. your father
was at Camden when I began this letter he is
now at home - Edward has been at Camden
since Saturday - James was here on
Saturday - [indecipherable] just to make up his and
Edwards packet of letters for you, & set
off both again this morning - Emmeline's
is at Sydney with Mary. We have had a
letter from her this evening. She seems quite
