parties at Govt. House – they entertain a good
deal & have families from Sydney almost every
week – Mr & Mrs Stirling were on a visit to Lady
Gipps – with their two Children – they came to call
on me – indeed most of the Visitors do –
Emmeline of course frequently dines there – She
& her Husband appear to get on very well – and I have
no reason – but to be well pleased with Mr. Parker
who I believe to be well principled – and he is
most attentive, & kind to me – doing all he can

stay here so long after the Marriage – I purpose
God willing to go to Camden & make some
stay there – when the weather becomes more
cool and temperate – we have had very hot
weather & dry – lately – I find I cannot travel
in a hot Sun – without suffering from it –
