Dearest Edward – I cannot read over, what I have written within
I may have omitted, & also misplaced words, but I trust you will
comprehend my meaning – Hannibals family are mostly dispersed –
he & Maria are well – Mrs. King ailing very much of late – Mr. Bowman
had a letter from the Bigges, whilst he was here, they were well at
their Stations – We have heard nothing of the Everetts lately –

I hope Mr. Dennison will have reached England – and perhaps
you will have heard of him & Capt. Hamilton – remember us to
W.S.D. & to Archdeacon Scott – We sent a Northumbrian Paper to
his Nephews at the Darling Downs – wherein his Flora & Agricultural
exhibitions are mentioned – Mrs Bennett is still alive &
well – notwithstanding the poor Woman has lost most of her
money investiture provided for her by yourself & Dear John –
