The Bases of the Agreement with the Owners of the
"Fama" was that one Half of the Passage Money was
to be paid here; the other half on the safe landing of
the Party at Sydney. Messrs. Devitt & Moor the Brokers
to whom I was introduced, for the purpose of arranging
the Passage of the Germans, have so worded the Agreement
with the Owners, that unless at the very commencement
I raised a disputable Point – agreed that I was to
pay one Half by Bill – and therefore a Bill at 30 Days
