Many of these residences have little patches of flower
garden attached to them.

In the Vinter's Book at Minton & Co a little before ours
are the rooms of M. Garnier de Paps & M. Des Manet the
celebrated French Advocates. They had been spending
some days in this neighbourhood with a brother of
Mr Wilbraham who dined here yesterday. The drawing
toward England & English ways by French men of Eminence is
very marked. I verily believe Napoleon shares in this feeling.

I omitted in what I wrote yesterday to say that we
think Cowper's conduct about the roads very handsome
Pray tell him so & say every thing kind from us x
