Sir Wm Macarthur
Campden [Camden] Park

Dear Sir

I am in receipt of your letter
of the 14th August inst and have to
thank you for your kind wishes
regarding a mutual correspondence.

Herewith I send a list of the things
I specially want and if you have
any of them I shall be very
glad to receive them –

The Luculias I have had to import
from England but always failed in
doing so; they are catalogued by Messrs
Ferguson & Son of your city but on
application I found they had sold
out of the stock and this has happened
for the last three years and also applies
to many other things & to other Nurserymen –

I can quite sympathise with you re
the difficulty & expense of getting together
a collection of orchids, only a short time
