I am preparing for my Autumn holiday I leave home about a week hence for Ayrshire – where I have got a nice house on the sea cost [coast] – and such a short journey must seem nothing

You ask about Mrs Paplin [Taplin] – poor soul hers was a very struggling life latterly and her death about 4 years ago – was I feel sure a blessing – my own maid generally makes all my dresses – so I do not know any very assured good dress maker
