The gardens looked lovely after
very heavy & refreshing rain
Bordighera is very wanting in
the way of Gardens – but Cannes
is one vast garden. owing to inexhaustible supply of water
I called to see an old acquaintance
& I found a row of pink & white
primulas in full bloom
along each side of the pathway
Ch has just brought me a
great spray of Bignonia
Capensis which make me
think of the dear old home
where it entwined the pillar
of the colonnade.
