so now I shall travel slowly home
and hope to visit Nellie and
some other friends before winter
shuts me up. – We leave on the 1st
I grow more pleased with Wildbad
as a place the longer I stay here
The views are so pretty and the
air fresh and sweet from the
pines on every side – such fine
forests are on the slopes here
There are a very ugly set of Germans
and very few English – but we
have just as many to whom we
speak as to prevent our being dull
and the music is very good
Equal to, if not better than the
orchestra at [indecipherable] (they say)
Mr archibald Forbes war reporter is
here, I dont know him but he has
a very fine head. & a good face.
