Sat. June 24th Went driving all afternoon with Olive & Miss Israel to see home founded by Mr Dreier. Dined at 6 Montagne Terrace & Dr Fairbairn came in to see me.

Sun June 25th Violet Pike & I went to sit in Park in morning & slept during afternoon In evening Harvey Pike took Violet & I & Alice Caddy to hear Russian Symphony Orchestra at Madison Sq. Garden

Mon. June 26th Met Mrs R. as I was going to Brooklyn & she took me with her to ferry. I returned to lunch at 6 Montagne Terrace & went shopping with Olive after. In evening Mr Herbert Pike took V. Harvey & I around town & on roof of Hotel Astor

Tues June 27th Went down town to League & had lunch. Came to Mrs P's & slept. Played cards after dinner

Wed. June 28th [date underlined] Went to League before lunch. Lunched with Miss Mary down town Went over to Brooklyn & washed head & saw Mrs Robins. Mrs Pike gave me early dinner & I left at 6.55 for Montreal.

Thurs June 29th Arrived in Montreal early & had breakfast with Miss Bigland of Woking, Surrey. Went out on trams & waited about the depot till Editha arrived at 7.30 & we left for Quebec. Very hot & great crowd on train

Fri June 30 Arrived in Quebec early breakfasted at Immigration. Did the town & slept as I was exhausted. Left for Liverpool on Empress of Ireland a[t] 3.30. Pleasant warm sailing down the St. Lawrence. [short line drawn under previous 3 words]

Sat. July 1st Cloudy but smooth on the St. Lawrence. Dull people & very dowdy on board. Getting colder.

Sun July 2nd [date underlined] Oh. Murder the cold! Ice bergs & great ice floe. Ship delayed on acct. of ice. I nearly perished

Mon July 3rd Getting warm & away from ice. I felt [queer?] & exhausted & had lunch in bed but got up after.
