Thurs Aug 3rd Went down to see Elizabeth Robins at Henfield. Had a lovely day. Christabel Pankhurst also there. Got home late at L. Bridge station. Dined opp. Gaiety & packed for Paris

Fri Aug 4th Went to Rouen via Dieppe. Very weary so I went to bed early in a little hotel near La Gare

Sat Aug 5th Took a fiacre & did Rouen sights & left for Paris arriving there at Washington home about five. Very hot.

Sun. Aug 6th Walked around Notre Dame & St. Chappelle & rested during afternoon & left for 11 bis ['bis' superscript] Rue Cluny up 6 flights of stairs.

Mon Aug [8 crossed out] 7 Went to Am. Express Co. in morning & took drive in their waggon in afternoon. Very hot

Tues Aug [9 crossed out] 8 Did Luxembourg Gallery in morning in afternoon the Cluny Musee & drive in the Bois.

Wed Aug 9 Took Am. Ex Co drive round East of Paris in morning rested during afternoon. Opera Rigoletto & Coppelia ballet at night with Miss Pennycook & girls from Constantinople

Thurs Aug 10 Left at 10 for London arrived at Victoria at 8 dined at A.B.C & went to Miss Brennan's

Frid Augt 11th Went shopping in Cheapside in morning. In afternoon rested & washed head. At evening took Miss Brennan to the Alhambra to see Gaby De[slys]

Sat Aug 12 In morning very exhausted. Wrote p.c. & rested. In afternoon went to S. Kensington Museum with Mr Michael Valtico to see the butterflies
