Arose at 9 & as my typewriter was broken went to office & typed till late. Came home tired and slept. Edith called & we had dinner at Pkway. Then to her room & we read G.B.S. on the war

Mon. 4
Worked away at the office.
In the evening went out to see Miss Peterson & she took me to see Miss Browne & her mother & I came home on Chicago Ave. Car.

Tues. 5
Pegged away feeling the general depression keenly.
Mr Krump, Editha & I ate dinner at Hearth.
Then Mr K. took us to hear Fuller Sisters at "Little Theatre".
Mrs Havelock Ellis was there.

Wed. 6
Regular luncheon at Hearth. Miss H. Editha, Ethel Miss M.S. Wagner & I.
Wet day & quite warm took off fur coat.
Met Editha at Hearth at dinner & I walked [continued on next page]
