& on way said goodbye to Boyntons.
Fred came & took me to dinner
at Mission tea room & fooled
about in automobile after-
wards.
Fri. 22
Saw about money at bank.
Said goodbye at office and
had lunch with Mrs Maynard at
College Club. Went to Hospital to see
Agnes Burns. Said goodbye to Hearth
& went to Commonwealth Club to hear Mdme.
Kallontay [Kollontai]. Editha walked home with me.
Sat. 23
Went on Nickel Plate Train
at 10.30. Emma & Editha
saw me off with violets.
Emma was carried on
to Englewood. Lovely
weather.

Alexandra Kollontai (1872-1852) - Russian socialist and revolutionary, exiled to Germany in 1908 and then during the war to Denmark, then Sweden (where she was jailed for her speaking against war and her "activities"), once released found accepting socialist community in Norway. She toured America twice during the war speaking on war and politics.
