FEB. 16 1916 Stayed in house all day Suffering from strained eyes. Bernard Knight & Reginald Enright came to spend the evening.
THUR. FEB. 17 1916 Mrs Meggitt took me over Tech. School in morning. In afternoon she took me to call on Evening Post Office & the Editor Mr C. Mills & Mr Ley took us to afternoon tea at Dutch Café. Then called for Phyllis at Dentist's.

FRI. FEB. 18 1916 Stayed in house all day till evening when Mrs Meggitt took me to meeting of Cent. T. Congress in Town Hall. I was invited to say a few words.
SAT. FEB. 19 1916 Phil. took me for a walk in morning. In evening [previous word crossed out] afternoon Phyllis went back to McMillan's.

SUN. FEB. 20 1916 Got up to breakfast with Mr & Mrs Meggitt. In evening Anne Alexander & Fred Dickenson came & we had a pleasant time.
MON. FEB. 21 1916 Went to Dentist at 11. and back from town. May Meggitt came home from London on the 6.8

TUES. FEB. 22 1916 Mrs Meggitt May & I called at Argus office with Geoff's war souvenirs then Mrs M. took us to tea at London Hse. They went to see about photography while I went to Ayliffe, dentist.
WED. FEB. 23 1916 Went to Mr Ayliffe but tooth had not come. Got home very weak. May went to Fortune Teller. Went back at 6 and got tooth fitted

THUR. FEB. 24 1916 May & I went in at 11.30 & tooth was put on. We got home very late for dinner.
FRI. FEB. 25 1916 Mrs M. May & I went to Louise Smith where I was photographed. I took Fred D. & the others to tea at London House. Mrs Meggitt's "at home" day. Mrs Hodge told our fortunes & sang.
