Cold day.
Sunny early but clouded & there were a few drops of rain dispersed by wind wh. brought the chill.
Ran telephone messages for Mrs R. & Mrs A.
Began on final corrections of essay but the cold defeated me.
Lit the fire at 12.30 but hardly any warmth comes from that cavern into the room.
Got a letter from D. C. & told Nell Jordan, who is to be operated on next week.
Cut a few branches off peach tree.
