Fine day not so chilly. I was very exhausted, but no repose as I expected Joe & he did not come all day. I went to butcher. Rang dear old Uncle Gus who sounded fine. Said he was disappointed I did not go as we were always good chums. He had the book I sent him. A woman from Melb. rang to interview me for Meanjin. I finished typing the notes to show Pixie. Thought I'd rest but Mrs B rang & rang & stayed for ¾ hour. I wrote to Henrietta.
