Tried a little typing then telephoned Nell Jordan postponing her. Thelma rang twice about Uncle Gus's birthday. I went to bed but Mildred rang & I had to fetch [indecipherable] – Judith ill – little wonder. Earlier I had to [run?] a telephone message for Jack [Anderson?]. Went to bed at 8. Cough devastating & cough mixture makes me sick. Had a meal of bread [indecipherable] by [indecipherable] & honey. Temp. 6 p.m. 100.2 Fine bright day. Suffering from extra chill, very off. Tried a little typing then telephoned Nell Jordan postponing her. Thelma rang twice about Uncle Gus's birthday. I went to bed but Mildred rang & I had to fetch her mother. Judith ill - little wonder.
