10266632301September 1952 Thursday 25 Cold day again. | 10266632301September 1952 Thursday 25 Cold day again. Just as I was starting my [indecipherable] on any work [Piscie?] telephoned for [indecipherable] on home and then Ruby Brydon arrived very kindly to do the front beds of the garden. So I abandoned my room and got lunch. Afterwards R did the side beds as I [indecipherable] and cut the edges of the front verge. By then it was 3pm and I was so exhausted that I lay down and slept till nearly 5. Had to [indecipherable] something for Marion [Foffin's?] birthday as this day was the [indecipherable] still exhausted. Cold day again. Just as I was starting my literary work Pixie telephoned for nearly an hour & then Ruby Brydon arrived very kindly to do the front beds of the garden. So I cleaned out my room & got lunch. Afterwards R. did the side beds so I roust out and cut the edges of the front verge. By then it was 3 p.m & I so exhausted that I lay down & slept till nearly 5. Had to rig something for Marion Goggin’s birthday & the day was gone & I still exhausted. Cold day again. Just as I was starting my liter-ary work Pixie telephoned for nearly an hour + then [Ruby] Brydon arrived very kindly to do the front beds of the garden. So I cleaned out my room + got lunch. Afterwards R. did the side beds as I [went] out and cut the edges of [the] front verge. By then it was 3 p.m + I so exhausted that I lay down + slept till nearly 5. Had to [buy] something for Marion [Goffin's] birthday + the day was gone + I still exhausted. Cold day again. Just as I was starting my literary work Pixie telephoned for nearly an hour & then Ruby Brydon arrived very kindly to do the front beds of the garden. So I cleaned out my room & got lunch. Afterwards R. did the side beds so I went out and cut the edges of the front verge. By then it was 3 p.m& I so exhausted that I lay down & slept till nearly 5.
