10266632393December 1952 Friday 26 Warm morning. Dead tired. Got up & pulled myself together for telephone calls to Marie McN. long call. Went to Glen for dinner at 1 pm. Jean Williamson also there & Arthur Crouch. In evening it came up cool & thunder showers. I wore my ancient light dress the mauve one made by Miss E. (Fletcher) Jones, first time I appeared in cool dress this season. Home before 10 dead exhausted. Did a few chores & to bed. Did not fall to sleep till after 3 because of irritation in eye.
