Tuesday 29

Body temp 8 a.m 98º " " 8 p.m 98.6º Cool day. Took figs to Mrs Bennetts as I went to butcher & did the chores and a page or two of essay. Mrs Bennetts in to telephone. In evening Dr Fraser rang up & asked me to lunch in gardens on Friday.

Wednesday 30

Fine day with a cool breeze. Went to town early to newsreel. Home by 2 p.m. & cooked a chop for lunch. Then did a bit of essay. To bed early at 9.30.

Thursday 31

Very hot day. Mrs Bennetts & Mrs Morgan in to telephone. In evening I called on Mrs Fogden for a few minutes.

Friday 1

Fine chilly day not above 73° Went to town & met the 3 Frasers in garden & had sandwich lunch. I contributed chocolates & figs. Fay goes to Malaya in May. I then read in Mitchell till 4 & went to Youth Carnival Rooms looking for Mrs O'Leary, she was not there. Thence to Newsreel & home by 7p.m. I called Glen during the evening. Chilly went to bed around 10p.m.

Saturday 2

Very cool day. Did bit in garden. Took figs to Olly & Mrs Bennetts. Very, very tired - wrote letters.
