Lovely, perfect day. Arose at 7.30 after 2 hrs. sleep and sneaked about at chores. Beatrice tired lugging heavy parcels & I kept her up talking. Fortunately she slept till nearly nine.
Then I gave her breakfast in bed & She had a shower & went home - carrying heavy parcels again. She is a spirited, intelligent soul - few like her to be found.
I tidied up a bit & finished a letter to Magdalen Dalloz but was so fatigued that my stomach turned & I had to have a sleep during afternoon. B. likes "Cockatoos" & thinks it needs little to be done to it. I am dubious & nervous about it, but everyone is dead so it doesn't matter.
