Fine day but a breeze and clouds made it cool again. Telephoned Dal about promised carbons. Went to butcher. Did a little clearing of papers. Finished reading Jean's Autobiography & parcelled it ready to take to B. D. Mr Scaif(?) called me in to see his orchids & gave me a strelitzia bloom - very striking - which I put with a big black lily wh. smells like bread sponge in danger of souring.
