Snow & very cold but
somewhat
lighter gray. Ethel came in &
spent afternoon with me in
office. While Miss Hodgson went
out. We had nice tea on biscuits
Mother sent from Aus. Started to
revise Sam. [handwritten & circled:] 31st

31 Fri [handwritten & circled: 29th]
Wed. called up Fred to wish him many
Happy returns. Claude came at 6 & we
had dinner at Colonial Restaurant &
then said goodbye & I came home
early v. tired & went to bed.

1 Feb Sat
Took Ethel Mason home
with me at 4 & put her to bed on A. A.'s
couch & she was glad to stay there
till 9.30. I fed her at intervals
on food mostly from Australia.
Honey divine & fresh
butter. Ethel Bull &
Louise came in.
No hope of comfort.
