Robert McMillan (b. Edinburgh, Scotland -arrived to Aust mid 1890s), was a freelance journalist and author who became founder and long time editor of "Stock and Station", later which became "Country Life". McMillan used the nom-de-plume"Gossip", so was always referred to as such in the literary world. He conducted lecture tours. Darcy Gillligan (b. in Bungendore NSW), was also an editor of "Stock & Station" and 'Country Life" . David Souter, (b. Aberdeen, Scotland-arrived Aust 1886), also an author and a very dear friend with McMillan, was at one time literary editor for "Stock & Station" and "Country Life".
