30 Wednesday

Rode out with Norman in morning to take delivery of sheep on stock route. In afternoon Rene, Jack & I had a dip in bore. Black ducks rose as we approached

31 Thursday

Lovely warm day. Rode out with Norman in morning to look at rabbit traps carbeen, wilga; boonree or emu apple The carbeens have dark skirts & light blouses

In afternoon Norman & I cantered down & had a dip in bore

1924 February

1 Friday

Norman & I went riding in the morning saw a windmill into an excavation tank & an old emu with 5 nearly grown also a lovely spotted goanna & little green parrots & a supple jack

Rain at night and cool wind.

2 Saturday

Showers & grey & cool. Norman & I went out riding in morning about 12 miles over the boggy plains. Lovely sleep in afternoon then Norman & I rode to the Drildool Bore & saw en route a grey kangaroo, a hawk 2 native companions, grey & black duck & Ibis. Had a game of cards at night to celebrate Rene's birthday L. Duckham & I partners. Dropped teeth in bore but Norman retrieved them.
