Cold & grey so I climbed into my old wool suit. Met Mother on her return from Gertie's. After lunch M. & I "did" the Treasury & Fitzroy Gardens, thence on an errand or two in Collins St Thence to Mr Griffin and he took us over Newman College. We came back to Lyceum Club & Mrs Watson came in & we all 4 had dinner & went to hear Stella Powell sing in Picture Show Interval at Majestic. Voice was facile but seemed to rattle & she had the turtle gait

Showery warm day. In afternoon Nancy drove P.S. Mother & I and Studleigh out to Ringwood towards the Dandenongs to see Mr Frank Walker. Lovely drive saw flowering red gums and natural stringy bark in bloom, black thorn & other flowers. In the Walker drive ti-tree and pink orchids. Lovely house right in unspoiled bush. Friendly Carilla [Corella?] there - sat on me all the time.
