15 Tuesday
Wrote comfortably all the morning. Lunch with Roberts and left for Kiandra at 2 p.m with Frank Yen. Trees & shrubs lovely. Many dead beasts by way. Uncle, Aunt & Joan met me in buggy & brought me on to Gooandra where we had tea & a good sleep. Oh the loveliness of the snow gums in bloom for miles like giant fairies in an unspoiled paradise & everywhere bubbling streams. And the sunlight dazzling, sparkling, swooning in the distance in beauty and burning me even through a stout blouse & heavy sweater. Met old Mrs Hunt, the fruit woman & Uncle bought figs

Lovely morning. Went out riding with Joan making a visit to all old shrubs & trees. Snow gums gorgeously abloom also other shrubs along the wealth of springs & the flowers carpeting the tussock land. Very warm & bright & a lovely wind. Had to waste the afternoon - no saddle for me to go riding - no place for a quiet private rest.

Perfect day. In afternoon went out riding on side saddle with Uncle Fred to the 12 Mile. Found again a white perfumed heath by the creeks that I have dreamed of since we had dinner when I was four crossing to Brindabella somewhere about Tin Pot flat

Another perfect day. In morning Joan, Oscar & I rode out to 12 Mile & coming back paddled in Gooandra Creek at confluence with Tantangara. Also gathered Old Man & everlasting daisies. In afternoon rode to Tantangara homestead & paddled in the creek where a passing fox had left his odour & the skeletons of stock lay among the tussocks

Joan, Uncle F & I rode across to Rule's Pt. to meet auto. Saw a fox slinking off. Long Plain lovely to right, old Yarrangobilly & then down the mountain past lovely shrubs & creeks & old man profuse. Passed 2 bullock teams one 16 other 18. Saw a pair of lyre birds. Arrived at Talbingo gloriously warm In afternoon Pearl, Thelma, Nona & I had a lovely swim in old swimming hole which was the delight of my childhood. Pool lovely as ever laughing in the sunlight from the feathery timber clad hills
