Nell & I went to P. of Wales
Theatre to see Charlot's Revue
with B. Lillie etc. We
were in a filthy gallery
at side where we
couldn't see - a swindle
to charge for such
seats.

Eugène André Maurice Charlot (1882 –1956)- Parisian born impresario mostly known for musical revues he staged in London between 1912 and 1937. This production at the Prince of Wales Theatre starred Beatrice Lillie (1894- 1989) - Canadian born British actress, singer and comedic performer, and Gertrude Lawrence (1898 – 1952) British born actress, singer, dance and musical comedy performer.
