Poor Miss Hodgson came in
very grieved had heard of her
brother's death by telegram.
I scraped up £5. & sent her
off to Leeds. Poor little Mrs
A. fretted & fiddled all day with
a total lack of any sense of pro-
portion & a deluding dog-
like worship of the absconder.
I provided her supper in
office & escaped afterwards as
soon as possible thoroughly
tired.
