MONDAY, NOV. 7th, 1932.

Showery. Went ashore in
little passenger boat about 10.
Mrs Guthrie & I visited a
school & the children sang &
recited for us & Mrs Stevens
invited us to the [indecipherable]. We
walked with Franklin &
later returned to tea as
invited in beautiful home.
Went afloat about 5 p.m.
happy day because I had
letters from Mother & Lena
saying all was well at home.
Mary B. had been ill but
was spared & recovering
thank god.
[Storm?] lifted about mid-
night.
