We are looking forward with pleasure
to the prospect of a day of rest tomorrow.
Mary Brown was sent to her situation, with her
little trunk containing her outfit. heard this morn
that Dr. Nathan had gone from home for his health.
Dr. Roberts very kindly came in his stead.

Sabbath 21st
No Minister this morn, nor in the afternoon
Matron ill in bed, not able to rise till
eve'g for Miss Galbraith to go to church.
Mr. Ayton gave an address in the eve'g.

Monday 22nd
Miss Goodlet presented the inmates with
a large plumb [plum]cake for their tea after the
steamer washing was finished
Miss Dunn spent an hour with us washing
and teaching the girls sewing and knitting.
during the letter we sang hymns, we all enjoyed
it very much.
