June 9th
No Minister this morn'g
Mr. Roberts came from S. School and gave
an address - Mr. Curtis in the afternoon
and Bible Class with Matron in the eve'g.
Mary Brown, Jane Pickering, Mary Mack were ordered out of the garden, they having abused their privilige [privilege] , "by somping [?] and making a noise therein, thus breaking the sabbath - instead of reading
the valuable books provided for them.

Monday 10th
Eliz'th Magill is continually leaving her tub.
I would rather let her alone, than loose
time in watching her, only that it would be
injurious [injurous] to herself, and setting a bad example to
her fellow inmates.
All the three girls that were turned out of the garden
yesterday came to ask pardon, and said they were
very sorry."

Tuesday 11th
We find that Eliz'th Mcgill and
Marg't Conroy continue to break the rules of
the house, they were brought before the
Ladies Comm't - there was a marked difference in the conduct
of the two Marg'ts.

Wednesday 12th
After trying in vain to induce
E Mcgill to settle down to her work
she was locked up in the cottage, amongst the
dirty ship linen, which she would not help to
wash, she was liberated at tea time, because she
promised to obey orders in future.
