Mrs. Carter brought a note from Mrs J. Smith
requesting me to recieve Eliz'th Carter, untill [until] tomorrow

girls has plunged headlong into sin, her mother says
she "was [underlined] flounced [end underlined] up to her middle." harboured by
a woman calling herself married, but living in sin, and keeping Eliz'th for the same purpose.

The ladies offered to receive Eliz'th for 12 months, which
she indignantly refused, turning a deaf ear to
her Mothers entreaties, who, with tears
implored upon her to stay. Mrs. C fears her
