Wednesday 20th
The inmates that were unruly last night apologized this
morning and have been working well to day
Lady Young called to day

Thursday 21st
The inmates washing blankets going about their work
very cheerfully they asked as a favour if they worked
well and quietly if I would give them each a cup of coffee [sup] at 11 o clock [sup]
I answered yes for which concession they seemed very
grateful Maggie Conroy and Sarah Farrington asked
to [sup] go to [end sup] Mrs Pawseys being very wishful to go out their time
being cut some since I pacified them as well as I could and said
Mrs Pawsey promised to send whenver she required any
servants for the counry the inmates that attend school
are veyr troublesome every day.

Friday 22d
One of the inmates came to me this morning and siad
good morning I have made determination to give my
heart to God I encouraged and told her not to rest until
she knew that God had pardoned her sins

Saturday 23d
The inmaes have worked well and willingly this
morning Mr Hossack held service at 1/2 past seven

Sunday 24th
Two women came and wished to be admitted I took
them in until the Ladies came on Tuesday one of them
came out of the Wooloomaloo gaol this morning having been
there seven days she says she has a very good husband
in New England holding a very responsible situation on
a station she disgraced him and herself through drink

Wednesday 25th
The inmates very troublesome to day they are very dis
contented whose time is out Mary Brown and Eliza Beauce
would not attend school and at night tried to escape
