Tuesday 21st
The ladies committee gave the inmates a treat on account of the arrival of the Prince. Plum Pudding and roast beef on Wednesday and cake and fruit on Saturday they are much pleased and are working well

Wednesday 22nd
The inmates had a holiday after 2 o'clock on account of the arrival of the Duke of Edinburgh they enjoyed themselves thoroughly Anne Predge was very violent again making use of very bad language. Harriet Pinkett came and wanted to stay all night. I told her I could not admit her again. A woman came with her daughter aand was very abusive because I would not take her in for the night. My conviction was that they wanted a communication with the inmates

Thursday 23rd
The inmates working well and quietly the Revd Mr Dillon came and wanted to see [Kate] Barry. I said I could not allow him to see her without he brought me a note to that effect from Mrs Goodlet. He wondered why the Roman Clergy were not allowed to visit the Refuge

Friday 24th
All going on well and quietly

Saturday 25th
The inmates working well in anticipation of their meal of Fruit and cake this afternoon. A Lady of the name. Mrs Gunn of Parramatta called and wanted a servant. I said she had better unite to the committee and state her requirements. The inmates were highly delighted with their cake and Fruit.
