June 28th Sabbath
I took M. A. Smith and M. A Coleman with
me to church this morn'g. M A C was also
taken in the evening by Miss Galbraith. They
were both much pleased.

Gentelmens general com't 8 present.

Monday 29th
M. A. Smith received her Bible this eve'g from
Rev'd T. Smith. he gave her good advice also, she is to go
in the morn'g 9oclk pr. train. she desired me to return
her thanks to the ladies for their kindness to her and says
she is determined to please her employers.

Teusday 30th
Sub com't met 4 ladies present. M. A. Smith
went to her situation as general Servant 7/. pr week
with Mr. Saunders, Richmond (about 2 miles out of the
township.)

July 1st
The S. S "Rakaia" linen was brought yesterday but
as only one officer came, it could not be counted.
Four young officers came today at 1/2 past 11 oclk and they did
not finish counting untill [until] 5 oclk
Wrote to Dr. Nathan asking if he will please to call to see
Eliza Ash. Also a note to Mrs. White "Bible woman" to tell
how ill Eliza is.

Thursday 2nd
The am't received for work this month
£40.16.5. we have only 23 inmates, and
one of them is an idiot! Dr. Nathan has given an order
for her to go to Paramatta Asylum. another is very
little better. Dr. N. Roberts says she is of "weak intellect."
The only thing she is a master of, is making mischief and quarreling with her fellow inmates. then we have two invalids, not able to wash and are very indifferent needle women, there
remains only 19 to do all the washing, scouring &c.
