September 13th.
Sabbath. Mr C.Tilley gave an address
in the morng. Mr Roseby in the
afternoon. and Mr. Roberts in the evening.

Monday 14th.
Betsy McMahon and Anne Boyde called
to see us. I did not let them speak to any of
the inmates. but told them how glad I was to see
them looking so neat and respectable. They seemed
pleased when I said I wanted to tell the ladies

Teusday 15th.
Sub comt. met. 4 ladies present.

Kate Hayes very poorly the pain in her side
so acute that she could not stand.

Wednesday 16th.
Kate remained in bed all day. I gave
her some medicine. she is very feverish.
we miss her in the laundry (she being the forewoman).

Thursday 17th.
A large table ordered from Mr. Dean
and a pair trassels [trestles] were brought home
this evening.
