November 5th.

I came to take Charge of the Institution
this Morning. At Tea time. Kate Barry
and Winifred Dixon. made their escape
through the front Gate. into the Street

6th. Kate Barry came to me this morning at 5 O'Clk
to ask for admission. Saying that She would
not run away again. I allowed her to come
in until the Ladies were Spoken to about the
Matter. Mr Reeve put up a Blind in the
Ironing room. according to Lady Belmores
directions. Mrs. E. Deas Thomson and Mrs. Hay. visited
Mr Reeve gave an address in the Evening.

7th. Went with Agness [Agnes] Obrian to the Regestry [registry]
Office about a Situation. Mrs. W. Mills visited
Mr Hossack gave an address in the Evening

Sabbath 8th. Mr Tilly gave an address in the Morning

No Service in the --- Afternoon

Mrs. Lee ---- in the Evening

9th. vWe were aroused this Morning at ½ past
3 Oclock. by Mary Ann Burns. trying to
break open the Dormitories with the
Kitchen Poker. Declaring that She would kill all
the Inmates. her Brain was evidently. gone
I Succeeded in Soothing her. but Sent for
a Police man. Who refused to take her. While
under my Care. but advised me to get a [warrant?]
for her. The Court being Shut. on account of
its being a Holy Day. we Shall have to wait
until tomorrow
