June 27th
Mrs. Magregor visited. Martha
Buckle appears very unhappy to-day
She wanted me to let her go out last
week to get medicine from the Infirmary
I told her I could not permit her to
go without asking the Ladies of the
Committee, and asked her to wait
until Tuesday she fancies the time
is long to wait, and feels unsettled.

28th Ladies Sub Committee.
Fanny Chapman has been readmitted
and Ann Moffatt admitted.
Martha Buckle spoke to the Ladies
but they will not allow her to go out
of the Institution until we find a
Situation for her to go to.
We have been again troubled at the
waste of Bread and the Inmates
carrying it away from table, I have
consequently stopped the lunch until
they leave off such practices.

29th
Before the Inmates breakfast this
morning two of them Mrs Lewin and
Mary Ann Leslie had a quarrel
the latter giving Mrs Lewin a blow.
peace was quickly restored, from reports
made by each party I considered both
to blame and spoke to each of the women
upon the subject. Miss Manning called
to see Mary Ann Mitchell and walked
round the Institution. Miss Holland
