Service and in the afternoon, the
Laundress out all day.

The Laundress has complained to me
that the women in the Laundry will
not work after four o'clock, and that
Ellen O Bryan told her they never
used to do so. I went to the wash house
to enquire about it, and was told by
the Laundress afterwards that some
of the women said I had no business
to interfere, Mrs. West never did, at
the tea table I spoke to the women
upon the subject when Ellen O Bryan
was very rude. Maria Leach and
Johanna Smith had a quarrel during
the evening, Johanna was very provoking
it was with much difficulty that we
quieted her.

5th
Sub Committee. The Ladies spoke
to Ellen O Bryan about leaving off work
so early and dismissed her. The
Laundress complained of Ann Kirbys
conduct, she was spoken to also, and
the Ladies directed me to move her
from the Ironing room as soon as
I could conveniently do so. Mr Crane called
Mr Mills held an evening service

6th
The Laundress having arranged that
one of the younger Women should
try the Shirts I thought it a good
