Johanna Smith has been very
quarrelsome to-day disturbing the
tempers of several of the women
Miss. Manning called to see M. A. Mitchell.
Mr Robins held an evening service

28th
Mrs Joseph Thompson visited
Johanna Smith and Louisa Pilkington
quarrelled this morning and struck
one another I was obliged to put Johanna
into the cottage for a short time to
keep her away from the other Inmates
when I went to speak to her, she asked
me to send for Louisa that she may
beg her pardon and told me she was
very sorry for being so naughty.
Miss Holland went to Drury to request
he would come here immediately to
attend to the waste tank which had
been running over for some few days.
Ellen Adams spoke very rudely to
Miss Holland at the table this
evening. Ellen appears very unsettled
I wrote to Mrs Carroll in answer to
enquiries respecting our terms for washing
The Dean of Sydney held evening services.

29th
I went to the Treasurer this morning
with a letter from Government House
and some money to pay him from
the washing left the Refuge at half
past ten returning by half past twelve
o'clock. As the Inmates rose from the
tea table this morning Louise Pilkington
