Friday
9th. Mrs Tange called to say she would
meet Cook at the Ashfield Station
tomorrow morning.
Mrs N Jones, Mrs G.W. Allen and
Mr & Mrs Caldwell visited.
Mrs White came according to promise
and read prayed & talked with the
Inmates. She left 10/ with me to get
them some little treat in remembrance
of her. Miss Holland was out this
morning, and called upon Mrs Wise
to let her know Cook had a situation.
Mrs Caldwell sent some oranges for the
Inmates.

Saturday
10th. I took Hannah Forster to Ashfield
this morning, by the 8 a.m. train
returning by the first train back to Sydney.
Messrs. Armstrong and Mills called this afternoon
that Kate Molloy might take the Temperance
pledge of them before leaving this
Institution. Mrs Cocks called to complain
of her starched clothes being too stiff
we must endeavor to have them
done to please her better next week
this being the Laundress's first week
She does not quite understand the
difference of taste in such things.
Miss Holland went out for the afternoon
the Laundress left to remain away
until to morrow afternoon.
