Thursday
22nd did not consider it was her place
to put out the Dining room light
at nine o'clock. I asked her whose
duty she considered it to be? to which
she replied that she did not know.
I then remarked that I would lay
the question before the Committee
for them to decide. Mrs Hughes called
and appeared the worse for drinking.

Friday
23rd. The town washing is all finished
ready for sending away.
I went out this evening from seven
until ten o'clock.

Saturday
24th. The Laundress & Miss Holland
went out this afternoon.
A Mrs Ledbury called requiring to
have some washing done here.

Sabbath
25th Mr Tilley held morning service
Mrs Fletcher Afternoon [ditto marks]
I went out to early morning service
Miss Holland went out to morning &
evening service. The Laundress
returned home to tea. I read to the
inmates during the evening.
Misses Winter and Riches brought
Ann Davis to the gate this morning
asking me to take her in which I
could not do as she has been expelled.
