Monday 26th
I sent Miss Holland to Mr Magregor's
this morning with a small parcel
an article that had been mis-sent & returned
The Inmates have been quieter to day
than they were during the whole of
the last week.

Tuesday 27th
Mrs Robinson visited. Ladies
Sub Committee
the Laundress reported
Harriett Penketh for insubordination.
Ellen Scott was admitted, her admission
to be dated back one week in consequence
of the Ladies not meeting last Tuesday
I went out this evening from 7 o clock until 10 o clock
Rev [?] Mr Mills held an evening service

Wednesday
28th I told Harriet Penketh this morning
to go to the Laundry as the Laundress
required assistance at the wash tub
two or three of the women complaining
of pains in their limbs, she decidedly
refused to go saying Mrs Goodlet had
told her she was to return to her work
upon the bedrooms. As she positively
refused to do my bedroom, when she
commenced her bad conduct I would
not let her take the bedrooms again
without speaking to Mrs Goodlet about it
especially as I have placed another
woman upon the work - Harriet
afterwards went to the folding & mangling
Mr Robins held evening service
Miss Holland went out
Mrs Wise Visited [text up side of paper]
