Tuesday Roberts & Barnes went away Lilly Bennett was persuaded to write to a friend to come and take her away. Susan Taylor was spoken to upon her rudeness to the Laundress

Wednesday 7 pupils 18th Mr. Freeland conducted eveng service

Thursday 7 pupils 19th Lilly Bennett insisted upon going away her friend not having answered her letter

Friday 8 pupils 20th Rev. C. F. Garnsey conducted service

Saturday 9 pupils 21st Eva Sparkes climbed the drying ground gate and attepted to get away over the wall when discovered she took a stone in each hand and defied any one to hold her saying she would not remain in this place and if prevented going she would smash every window. The Matron telegraphed for her parents to come to her. Mrs. Sparkes came and after an hours talking to she consented to remain in the Institution promising to behave her self obediently. The Matron & Teacher out for the afternoon

Sunday 22nd Mr. Armstrong conducted afternoon service Mr. Hartley evening do. The Matron and Officers out to their usual services. ["Dr. Norrie" crossed out]

23rd Dr. Norris visited and recommended that Catherine Spragg should go to the hospital and have her finger taken off.

Tuesday 8 pupils 24th Ladies Sub Committee Emily Harmer admitted

Wednesday 8 pupils 25th Margaret Smith asked admission and was received waiting the Ladies decision.

Thursday 9 pupils 28th Nothing of importance to record

Friday 10 pupils 27th Nothing of importance to record

Saturday 9 pupils 28th Sub Matron & Laundress out for the afternoon.

Sunday 29th. Mr. McCoy conducted afternoon service Mr. Wilson evening do Matron & Officer out to their usual service

Monday 30th Mary Hickey insisted upon going away saying a cousin who would be in Sydney to day had promised to help her.

Tuesday 6 pupils December 1st Ladies Sub Committee Margaret Smith admitted Emily Harmer asked to leave the Institution she was so rude to the Committee that she was dismissed. 7 pupils

Thursday 3rd Mr. Fletcher conducted evening service

Friday 9 pupils 4th Ladies General Committee Mrs. Lodge consented to have her daughter at this Institution for twelve months. Lizzie O'Connor spoken to upon the completion of her twelve months and a situation provided for her.

Saturday 8 pupils 5th Lizzie O'Connor gone as general servant to Mrs. Wilson of Lawson at 8/- per week. Matron & Teacher out for the afternoon.

Sunday 6th Mr. Goodwin conducted morng service Mr. McDonald afternoon do Mr. Fletcher evening Do. Matron & Officer out to their usual services

Monday 4th Eva Sparkes refused to work

Tuesday 7 pupils 8th Ladies Sub Committee Emily Hughes and Kitty Sullivan insisted upon going away At past nine o'clock at night Kitty returned begging to be taken in again.

Wednesday 6 pupils 9th Miss Williams brought Elizabeth Burns to be received. 6 pupils

Thursday 10th Mrs Nott visited and left the Matron 5/- towards a Christmas treat for the Inmates. Mr. Fletcher conducted eveng service. 8 pupils Friday 11th Rev. C. F. Garnsey conducted service 7 pupils Saturday 12th Sub Matron and Laundress out.

Sunday 13th Mr. Fletcher conducted morning service. Revd. Orr ditto afternoon ditto Matron & Officer out to their usual services.

Monday 14th Ann Thorn asked admission sent by Miss Williams 6 pupils

Tuesday 15th Kate Birmingham an old Inmate asked admission & was received. Ladies Sub Committee Ann Thorn Elizabeth Burns & Kate Birmingham were admitted. Emma Clarke spoken to upon her Uncle taking her home. Agnes Ping asked to leave the Institution. Mrs. Goodlet not being on Commmittee the Ladies could not give their consent. Ada Smith was spoken to upon her refusing to work. Eva Sparkes also refuse to work and urged Ada not to return to her work. Mrs. Inglis visited and gave the Inmates Xmas cards leaving 5/- with the Matron towards a Xmas treat. Mrs. Antrolius [?] gave the Matron £1.00 for the same purpose. 6 pupils

Wednesday 16th Mrs Goodlet sent a large ham and jam for the Inmates. Eva Sparkes still very obstinate the Matron wrote to her Mother to take her away as nothing could be done with her in this institution.

Thursday pupils 17th Eva very naughty asking other girls to stop work and go over the wall with her. Mrs. Goodlet called and Telegraphed to Mrs. Sparkes to take her daughter away. Mrs. Sparkes called and begged that Eva might be kept until the morrow when she could make arrangements about her. Mr. Rowsell conducted eveng service.

Friday 7 pupils 18th The Revd C. F. Garnsey conducted service Mrs. Sparkes took Eva away.

Saturday 8 pupils 19th The Matron and Teacher out.

Sunday 20th The Matron & Officer out to their usual services.

Monday 21st. Kate Birmingham insisted upon leaving the Institution. Holidays no pupils

Tuesday 22nd Ladies Sub Committee Clara Fitzgerald admitted.

Wednesday 23rd Mrs. James Thompson visited and gave the Matron 10/- towards a Xmas treat for the Inmates also Xmas cards.
