W Thursday Mrs A Goodlet sent a Xmas cake and gave the Inmates Xmas cards - Mrs. Threlkeld also gave them Xmas cards.

Thursday 24th. The week's work finished and the clothes sent home the Inmates working well.

Friday 25th. Christmas day. Mr. Jordan gave a very suitable service in place of Mr. Alfred Cook who could not be with us through sickness in his family however he left cards with the Matron to distribute amongst the Inmates wishing them all a very happy Christmas. Laundress out and returned this morning.

Saturday 26th. Boxing day the Inmates had a holiday and enjoyed their treat in the evening Miss Williams and Mrs Gregory helping to entertain them Teacher out for the day returning morning.

Sunday 27th Mr. Jordan conducted morning service Mr. Armstrong afternoon Do Mr. Rowsell evening Do Matron & Officer out to their usual services.

Monday 28th Mrs. White & friends brought bouquets of flowers for the Inmates.

Tuesday 6 pupils 29th Ladies Sub Committee no business 8 pupils

Wednesday 30th Nothing of consequence to record.

Thursday 9 pupils 31st Gentlemen's Committee Opening tenders for the coming year Mr. G. Harris visited and brought cake for the Inmates & Matron

Friday Jan'y 1st The Laundress out for the day The Inmates worked until the dinner hour and spent the afternoon in various amusements.

Saturday pupils 2nd. Matron & Teacher out for the afternoon.

Sunday 3rd. Revd. A. W. Murray conducted morng G. Streatfield afternoon service Mr. Fletcher evening Do. Matron & Officers out to their usual services.

Monday 4th. Nothing of importance to record.

Tuesday 7 pupils 5th Emily Donnelly very abusive to the women struck Margaret Smith giving her a black eye. Ladies Sub Committee Donnelly dismissed. Elizabeth Byrnes gone out.

Wednesday 8 pupils 6th. Mary Dillon sent by Miss Williams & Mary O'Brien a former Inmate received. Mr. Henderson C.M. called to say he would not give a service this evening 8 pupils.

Friday 8 pupils 8th The young girls very naughty eating unripe pears Carrie Bird very saucy

Saturday 9 pupils 9th Sub Matron & Laundress out for the afternoon

Sunday 10th Mr. Bourne conducted morning service Mr. Hodgson afternoon Do. The Matron & Officers out to their usual services.

Monday 11th A very wet day

Tuesday 7 pupils 12th Ladies Sub Committee Mary Dillon and Mary OBrien admitted. Annie White & Alice Lilly spoken to upon the completion of their time.

Wednesday 8 pupils 13th Annie White gone as general servant to Mrs. Blan of Castrella Merry Lands [Marylands?] at 10/- per week.

Thursday 8 pupils 14th Mr. Jordan conducted evening service

Friday 7 pupils 15th Catherine Barrigan asked admission and was received.

Saturday 9 pupils 16th Matron & Teacher out for the afternoon.

Sunday 17th. Revd. A. W. Murray conducted morng service Mr. McCoy afternoon Do. Alice Sinclair or Brown asked admission and was received.

Monday 18th Edith Wagg most abusive & disobedient the Matron put her in an empty room for the day

Tuesday 8 pupils 19th Ladies Sub Commitee Mrs Williams interviewed the Ladies respecting her daughter who she wished to take away as she is removing into the country permission was given and Tilly was taken home this evening.

Wednesday 9 pupils 20th Mr. Freeland conducted morning service

Thursday Gentlemens Committee 8 pupils 21st Elizabeth Thompson & Kate Fraser asked admission and were received.

Friday 8 pupils 22 Mrs. P Sydney Jones visited

Saturday 8 pupils Sub Matron gone away until Monday Laundress out for the afternoon.

Sunday 24th Mr. Jordan conducted morng service Mr. Armstrong afternoon Do. Mr. Hartley evening Do. Officers out to their usual services.

Monday 25th Sub Matron returned to her duties. 7 pupils

Tuesday 26th Anniversary day. No Committee The Inmates worked until the dinner hour and spent the rest of the day in various amusements enjoying a good feast of Fruit & Cake.

Saturday 8 pupils 30th The Matron and Teacher out for the afternoon.

Sunday 31st No minister the Matron and officers out to their usual services.

Monday February 1st Mr. James brought his young daughter to be received.

Tuesday 8 pupils 2nd Ladies Sub Committee Kate Fraser Elizabeth Thompson and Emma James admitted. Mr. Lodge came to the Comttee asking to take his daughter Maude away there not being a full committee the Ladies could not give their consent.

Wednesday 8 pupils 3rd. The Matron sick went to her bed

Thursday 7 pupils 4th Mr. Fletcher conducted eveng service

Fridays 9 pupils 5th Revd. C. F. Garnsey conducted services.

Saturday 9 pupils 6th The Laundress out for the afternoon.

Sunday 7th. Mr. Bushby, Mr. Hodgson, Mr. Fletcher conducted services. Teacher & Laundress out to their services
